The Award

The Mosca bianca award is designed to recognize a person, scientist or physician, who made an important discovery in the broad field of Biomedicine, and whose contribution was not previously realized by the scientific Community by any other award or prize.

Three criteria will be used to select the winner:

– The person made significant discovery/ies in biomedicine

– She/He did not receive awards or recognition for it  

– She/He carried out clinical or preclinical activities aimed at patient benefit.

The award can be attributed to a living scientist; it can be also
attributed to a deceased persons who died within 25 years from the date
of the award ceremony.

The Moscabianca award consists in a check for 10,000 € and in a 3 g gold
and enamel pin.

The Moscabianca award is sponsored primarily by the Italian Association of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Patients (AIP-LMC) and by smaller sponsors.
